Job summary

Kroger in Boise, Idaho seeks a Meat Department Associate to prepare and display meat products, assist customers, and uphold Kroger’s standards of safety, quality and service.

You will work with a team to rotate stock, maintain clean selling and backroom areas, and follow all policies including food safety and respectful conduct. Weekend shifts and reliable attendance are required to meet store needs.

Qualifications

• Willing and available to work weekends and holidays as needed.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Able to read shelf tags, signs and product labels.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and display merchandise in a neat, efficient, orderly manner.
• Check product quality; ensure freshness and proper rotation.
• Keep sales areas, backrooms, coolers clean and organized.
• Unload trucks and prepare merchandise for sale.
• Provide good customer and associate relations.
• Wash and sanitize equipment per policies.
• Greet and assist customers; maintain a friendly impression.
• Follow all applicable laws, policies, and safety guidelines.
• Maintain clean work area and professional conduct.
• Adhere to dress code, grooming, food safety, and discrimination policies.
• Perform any duties as assigned.
