Job summary

Kroger is seeking a Meat Department team member in the United States to perform general clean-up, stock work, and provide friendly customer service while upholding Kroger's values of respect and safety.

Expect responsibilities including greeting customers, stocking, temp monitoring, product quality, cleanliness, cash register use, and safe operation of equipment in a fast-paced environment. Weekend availability preferred.

Responsibilities

• Wait on customers and greet them cheerfully; provide high-quality service.
• Be prompt, tactful, calm, courteous and professional in all interactions.
• Communicate with customers and associates.
• Unload and store merchandise and prepare/display foods per standards.
• Perform required temperature monitoring and ensure product freshness.
• Keep sales areas, backrooms, and coolers clean and organized.
• Maintain floors in a safe, clean condition.
• Wash and sanitize cookware and utensils per policies.
• Maintain signage, rotation, freshness, quantity and space for merchandise.
• Maintain equipment and facilities safely per policies.
• Adhere to company policies, state and federal laws.
• Operate cash register per procedures.
• Handle high-paced or stressful environments cooperatively.
• Resolve conflicts in a calm, non-confrontational manner.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek help to resolve issues.
