Job summary

Kroger Co. is seeking a Meat department team member in Harrison Township, MI. You will perform general cleanup, stock work, and provide outstanding customer service while upholding our core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

You will greet customers, assist with products, monitor temperatures, maintain cleanliness, and operate the cash register in a fast-paced environment. Training and growth opportunities exist within the store network.

Qualifications

• Willing to work weekends and holidays.

• Able to read shelf tags, signs, labels and training materials.

Responsibilities

• Wait on customers promptly and cheerfully; greet and help with quality food.
• Be prompt, tactful, calm, courteous, and professional with customers and associates.
• Communicate effectively with customers and team members.
• Make clean, neat, and friendly impression on customers.
• Unload, store merchandise, and prepare/display foods to standards.
• Perform required temperature monitoring and ensure product freshness and safety.
• Keep sales areas, backrooms, and coolers clean and organized.
• Keep floors clean, safe, and free from clutter.
• Wash and sanitize cookware and utensils per policies.
• Maintain signage, product rotation, and space allocation for merchandise.
• Maintain equipment and facilities safely per company policy.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
• Operate cash register per procedures; support customers at checkout.
• Work cooperatively in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
• Resolve conflicts in a nonconfrontational, cooperative manner.
• Follow directions and seek help to resolve customer issues.
• Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults as needed.
