Job summary

King Soopers is hiring for general clean-up, stocking and customer service in the Meat department at 100 N 50th Ave, Brighton, CO. You will greet customers, maintain neat displays, monitor temperatures, and ensure food safety while following company policies and health department rules.

The role requires strong communication, teamwork, and dependability, with ability to work weekends/holidays in a busy retail setting. Prior food prep and grocery retail experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Able to read shelf tags, signs, product labels, training materials, and bulletins.

• Must be able to work with various cleaning solutions, safely use sharp tools, and carefully operate all production equipment.
• Past work record reflects dependability and integrity.
• Previous experience in food preparation.
• Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to employment practices, safety, and food handling.
• Experience in grocery retail and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Wait on customers and promptly greet them with friendly, high-quality service.
• Perform cleanup, stocking, and display work in the Meat department per standards.
• Monitor temperatures and ensure product freshness and safety.
• Keep sales areas, backrooms, and coolers organized and clean.
• Operate cash register following company procedures.
• Communicate effectively with customers and associates.
• Work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment and manage conflicts calmly.
• Follow company policies, safety rules, and legal requirements.
• Provide support to customers including minors and seniors when needed.
