Job summary

Houchens-Food-Group,-Inc. is seeking a Meat Trainer to enhance department performance across multiple store locations.

You will train Meat Managers and team members on standards, safety, sanitation, pricing, merchandising, and product quality while coaching on execution and customer readiness. The role involves store visits, identifying training needs, and partnering with store leadership to implement action plans that improve profitability and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Preferred: 2+ years Meat Department Management experience.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to train, coach, and influence others in a fast-paced grocery environment.
• Must have access to phone at all times.
• Able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Train Meat Managers and department associates on company standards and best practices.
• Provide hands-on coaching in Meat Department processes including safety, sanitation, pricing, merchandising, and scanning accuracy.
• Conduct store visits to evaluate training needs and department readiness across locations.
• Reinforce consistent execution Standards and help identify performance gaps with managers.
• Assist stores with staffing transitions and department readiness during leadership changes or new program rollouts.
