Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking an entry-level Meat Department Team Member in Ridgewood, NJ. The role supports counter service, stocking, and sanitation while upholding WFM standards and customer service excellence.

You will work on a fast-paced team, with responsibilities ranging from display maintenance to inventory checks and sampling support, ensuring a positive store image and safe operations.

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintains fresh, appealing display by checking quality and stocking shelves.
• Maintains back stock in good order.
• Assists with sampling program and keeps area tidy.
• Cleans cases, glass, signs, uprights, coolers, floors and drains.
• Arrives on time, groomed, and ready to work; attends trainings and meetings.
• Provides courteous customer service and uses suggestive selling techniques.
• Preps, stores, rotates, stocks and merchandises products to maximize sales.
• Follows procedures including health, sanitation and safety rules.
• Maintains a clean, sanitary work and shopping environment; keeps equipment clean and safe.
• Performs opening, mid and closing duties and ensures pricing accuracy.
• Reports safety hazards and violations immediately.
• Performs other duties as assigned by leadership.
