Job summary

The GIANT Company in Havertown, PA is seeking a meat department team member to help customers and assist in receiving, stocking, pricing, labeling, and rotating products while maintaining safety and sanitation standards.

You will build product knowledge, provide exemplary service, and contribute to a clean, organized department; lifting up to 50 lbs, standing most of the shift, and working in a cold environment as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must be able to read, communicate, and understand company policies and safety regulations in order to complete job duties in a satisfactory manner.
• Must meet ergonomic and physical requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform this job.
• Must be able to work in a cold environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive deliveries, breakdown loads, and rotate cooler.
• Weigh, price, and label.
• Stock cases and selecting product.
• Prepare valued-added products.
• Provide exemplary customer service.
• Product knowledge and suggestive selling.
• Responsible for sanitation and food safety standards.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
• Process cuts for service counter or special orders.
• Set service case.
