Job summary

Kroger Co. is seeking an enthusiastic team member to support the Meat department with clean-up, stocking, and friendly customer service at our Royal Oak location. You’ll greet customers, assist with food preparation, and ensure product safety and clean display areas.

Responsibilities include temperature checks, proper signage, and cooperation with a fast-paced team. Prior grocery retail and strong service orientation are valued for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Willing to work weekends and holidays.
• Demonstrates effective written and verbal communication skills that engage customers and associates.
• Able to read shelf tags, signs, product labels, training materials, and bulletins.
• Ability to multi-task, set priorities, present information professionally, and work with all levels of the organization.

• Must be able to work with various cleaning solutions, safely use sharp tools, and carefully operate all production equipment.

• Previous experience in food preparation.
• Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to employment practices, safety, and food handling.
• Experience in grocery retail and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Wait on customers and counter promptly and cheerfully.
• Greet customers and provide them with good quality food.

• Make clean, neat, and friendly impression on customers.
• Unload and store merchandise, prepare and display foods according to standards.

• Keep sales areas, backrooms, and coolers clean and organized.
• Keep floors clean and safe from clutter.
• Wash and sanitize cookware and utensils per policies.
• Maintain signage, rotation, freshness, quantity, and space allocation.
