Job summary

Whole Foods Market in Deerfield, IL is seeking a friendly Meat Team member to support counter service, stocking, and sanitation duties. You’ll help maintain fresh displays and provide courteous service to customers and Team Members, following store procedures and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities include stocking, quality checks, assisting with sampling, and upholding Weights & Measures and sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Commitment to friendly, helpful customer service.

Responsibilities

• Ensure fresh, appealing display; stock cases and shelves; rotate and remove out-of-date products.
• Maintain back stock in good order.
• Assist with sampling program; keep sample areas clean and appealing.
• Clean cases, glass, signs, uprights, coolers, smokers, floors, and drains as required.
• Arrive on time; attend trainings and meetings.
• Provide excellent customer service; address needs of customers promptly.
• Maximize sales through proper stocking and merchandising.
• Follow health, sanitation and safety procedures.
• Keep working area clean and equipment maintained.
• Perform opening, mid, and closing duties; verify pricing.
• Report safety hazards immediately.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
