Job summary

Kroger Family of Companies is seeking staff to perform general clean‑up, stock work in the Meat department, and outstanding customer service. You will greet customers, maintain neat displays, monitor temperatures, and ensure products are fresh and safely handled.

This role requires strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment. Weekend and holiday availability is expected, with adherence to all company policies and health regulations.

Qualifications

• Willing to work weekends and holidays.
• Demonstrates effective written and verbal communication skills that engage customers and associates.
• Able to read shelf tags, signs, product labels, training materials, and bulletins.
• Ability to multitask, set priorities, present information professionally and work with all levels.

Responsibilities

• Wait on customers and counter promptly and cheerfully.
• Greet customers and provide them with good quality food.
• Be prompt, tactful, calm, courteous, and professional in all interactions.
• Must be able to communicate with customers and associates.
• Make clean, neat, and friendly impression on customers.
• Unload and store merchandise, prepare and display foods according to company standards.
• Perform required temperature monitoring.
• Monitor product quality; ensure freshness and safety.
• Keep sales areas, backrooms, and coolers clean and organized.
• Keep floors clean and free from clutter.
• Wash and sanitize cookware and utensils according to policies.
• Maintain signage, product rotation, freshness, quantity, and space allocation for merchandise.
• Maintain equipment and facilities safely per policies.
• Follow company policies and state/federal laws.
• Operate cash register according to procedures.
