Job summary

The Kroger Family of Companies is hiring for a Meat department associate in Fort Worth, TX. You will perform general clean-up, stock work, and customer service, upholding our values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, maintaining clean and safe displays, monitoring temperatures and product quality, and assisting with merchandising while following company policies and health regulations.

Qualifications

• Willing to work weekends and holidays.
• Demonstrates effective written and verbal communication skills that engage our customers and associates.
• Able to read shelf tags, signs, product labels, training materials, and bulletins.
• Ability to multi-task, set priorities, present information in a professional manner and work with all levels of the organization.
• Past work record reflects dependability and integrity.
• Experience in grocery retail and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Wait on customers and greet with cheer, providing quality food.
• Be prompt, tactful, calm, courteous, and professional in all interactions.
• Communicate effectively with customers and associates.
• Maintain clean, neat appearances and friendly impressions for customers.
• Unload and store merchandise; prepare and display foods per standards.
• Monitor temperatures and product quality to ensure freshness and safety.
• Keep sales areas, backrooms, and coolers clean and organized.
• Ensure floors are clean, safe, and free of clutter.
• Wash and sanitize cookware and utensils per policies and procedures.
• Maintain signage, rotation, freshness, quantity, and space allocation.
