Job summary

ZippyApp - Recruitment Marketing is seeking a Meat Clerk to deliver outstanding customer service in a fast-paced meat department in Munford, TN. You will assist with product preparation, stocking, labeling, weighing, and display maintenance while ensuring quality, freshness, and food safety standards are met.

You will follow food safety procedures, rotate stock, organize coolers, and help with light meat cutting and receiving of products.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain a positive attitude and promote teamwork, flexibility, and a customer-first environment.
• Greet and assist customers with product questions, selections, and requests.
• Ensure all self-service meat products are properly packaged, labeled, weighed, and priced according to standards.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Assist with stocking and rotating meat products to ensure freshness and quality.
• Organize coolers, backstock, and display cases for proper rotation and storage.
• Assist with light meat cutting and product preparation as directed.
• Assist with receiving, ordering, and stocking processed meats and related products.
• Verify and maintain accurate pricing on department merchandise.
• Maintain clean, organized, and attractive display cases and work areas.
• Monitor code dates and remove outdated products from displays and storage areas.
• Keep workstations and surrounding areas neat and clean.
• Sanitize and clean the department a minimum of twice daily.
• Dispose of trash and waste properly.
• Follow attendance policies and report for shifts on time.
• Ability to work in refrigerated environments and handle raw meat safely.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move product and equipment.
• Work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
