Job summary

ShopRite of Drexeline Shopping Center in Drexel Hill, PA seeks a Meat Department Supervisor to direct and oversee all Meat Department functions and Associates, driving sales, profitability, and customer experience in alignment with our service priorities.

The role requires leadership, strong safety and sanitation practices, and the ability to train and engage staff to meet department goals and standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand English.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a shift.
• Ability to perform basic computer functions.
• Ability to regularly lift 35 lbs. and occasionally 80-90 lbs.
• Ability to work with fresh, dried and/or processed products and spices without allergies.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and tolerate dust/cleaning agents.
• Ability to climb a ladder to retrieve items from overhead storage.
• Ability to engage and lead Associates to achieve department goals.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise all functions and activities of the Meat Department and its Associates to achieve department goals.
• Ensure safety, customer experience, and department efficiency align with ShopRite priorities.
• Maintain temperature logs and production sheets; ensure compliance with safety policies.
• Lead onboarding, training, and performance feedback for department Associates.
• Monitor pricing, labeling, stocking, and rotation of products in displays.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations governing Meat Operations.
