Heinen’s, Inc. is hiring a Meat Associate in Barrington, IL. This part-time position supports the Meat Department, prioritizes daily tasks, and ensures food safety and quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

You will learn sourcing and culinary tips, write orders, and assist with merchandising while engaging with customers. The role requires weekend/evening availability and offers growth opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks while standing.
• Frequent lifting and movement up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to work non-traditional hours including weekends/evenings.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize daily work based on varying business needs.
• Monitor and maintain food handling and temperature standards.
• Acquire and share knowledge of Meat Department operations and tips.
• Write and process orders with accurate pars and planning.
• Work as part of a team to complete tasks; assist with scanning, shrink, production, stocking, and merchandising.
• Comply with all personal and food safety standards.
• Attend required corporate meetings and training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
