Job summary

The Kroger family of companies is seeking a store team member to perform general clean-up, stock work in the Meat department, and provide exceptional customer service in Jackson, MS. You will greet customers, stock shelves, monitor temperatures, and ensure product quality and safety while upholding company values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

This role requires strong communication, multitasking, and teamwork skills in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Willing to work weekends and holidays.
• Ability to read shelf tags, signs, product labels, training materials, and bulletins.
• Ability to multi-task, set priorities, present information clearly and work with all levels of the organization.
• Personal initiative and follow through to completion.
• Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to work with cleaning solutions, safely use sharp tools, and operate production equipment.
• Past work record showing dependability and integrity.
• Experience in grocery retail and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Wait on customers and greet with cheerful, high-quality service.
• Be prompt, tactful, calm, courteous, and professional in all interactions.
• Unload and store merchandise; prepare and display foods per standards.
• Perform temperature monitoring and ensure product quality and safety.
• Keep sales areas, backrooms, and coolers clean and organized.
• Operate cash register following company procedures.
• Demonstrate the company values of respect, integrity and safety.
• Support customers and associates, including interactions with minors and older adults.
