Metro Market is seeking a dependable associate for the Meat department to assist customers, stock displays, and maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety. You will greet customers, handle transactions, and help ensure products are fresh and properly displayed.

The role requires strong communication, teamwork and the ability to work weekends and holidays in a busy grocery environment. Training and benefits are provided by The Kroger Family of Companies.

Qualifications

• Able to read shelf tags, signs, product labels, training materials, and bulletins.
• Ability to multi-task, set priorities, present information professionally, and work with all levels of the organization.
• Experience in grocery retail and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Wait on customers promptly and cheerfully. Greet customers and provide quality food.
• Be prompt, tactful, calm, courteous, and professional in all interactions.
• Communicate effectively with customers and associates.
• Keep sales areas, backrooms, and coolers clean and organized.
• Handle temperature monitoring and ensure product safety and freshness.
• Operate cash register per company procedures.
• Work well in a fast-paced environment and manage conflicts calmly.
