Job summary

The Meat Cutters Trainees position is an entry-level role in our grocery department. You will learn meat cutting, merchandising, and proper handling under supervision.

Responsibilities include operating equipment safely, unloading trucks, maintaining inventory and rotating stock, wrapping meat, and assisting in truck check-in. Physical demands include lifting up to 100 pounds and standing for long periods.

Qualifications

• Meat cutting and merchandising with proper trim.
• Operate and maintain meat cutting equipment safely.
• Follow safety and sanitation procedures.
• Develop skills to become a Meat Cutter.
• Assist in unloading trucks.
• Maintain accurate inventory counts and rotate stock.
• Wrap meat and stock display cases as needed.
• Assist in truck check-in.
• Other duties as assigned by the Meat Manager on Duty.
• Cut and trim meat to specification per guidelines.
