Sam's West, Inc. in Newport News, VA is seeking a Meat Team Associate to join the Sam’s Club meat department. You’ll help with meat preparation, packaging, labeling, and displaying products while ensuring a great member experience on the front lines of customer service.

You’ll stay detail-oriented, multi-task efficiently, and maintain a clean, member-ready area to support quality and safety standards. The role involves standing for long periods and assisting members quickly and accurately.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Be a Team Member: Collaborates with other associates to build a strong meat team; communicate with team members; adapt to business needs to work in other areas.
• Be an Expert: Demonstrates knowledge of floor operations, product safety standards, inventory management, and meat preparation according to standards; maintain quality.
• Be a Techie: Uses digital tools to drive sales and improve the shopping experience; use handheld tech for quick decisions and training.
• Be an Owner: Maintains operating area per policies; ensures quality and date control; protects fragile/high-shrink items; assists customers with purchases.
• Be a Talent Ambassador: Advocates for the department and club; demonstrates high quality service and products; shows energy and passion for work.
• Complies with policies and ethics by following action plans and using Open Door Policy in daily processes.
