Job description

Join to apply for the Meat Cutter Restaurant FT role at Southside Market & Barbeque.

Southside Market and Barbeque is currently accepting applications for a BBQ Meat Cutter with the ability to work flexible hours including weekends. This position is responsible for slicing all of Southside's barbeque proteins based on customer requests. The role involves working directly with customers, cashiers, and customer service team members to ensure accurate order fulfillment and an excellent barbeque experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Communicate clearly with customers and staff to ensure order accuracy.
  • Utilize safe and efficient knife skills to cut and package smoked meats to order.
  • Use restaurant equipment to weigh meats precisely.
  • Address customer questions and inquiries, and recommend products based on customer input.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction through excellent customer service and hospitality.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
Qualifications
  • At least 1 year of knife skills and food handling experience.
  • Texas Food Handler Certificate or the ability to obtain one.
  • Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking) for all job-related circumstances.
  • Prior BBQ experience is highly preferred.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
