Job summary

Kj's Market in Augusta, GA is seeking a part-time meat department associate to provide friendly customer service and assist with meat cutting and display. You will prepare products, stock displays, and ensure freshness in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires physical stamina, the ability to lift heavy loads, and willingness to learn multiple tasks including special cuts and proper sanitation. Training is provided in a family-owned setting with weekly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Friendly, outgoing personality.
• Ability to work well with others and in a team.
• Ability to lift 100 lbs. occasionally and 40 lbs. constantly.
• Meat cutting experience and willingness to learn multiple tasks.
• Effective communication and guest service skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to work in a cold environment.
• Ability to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Provides polite, friendly service to all guests.
• Prepares product for sale (cutting, weighing, trimming) according to standards.
• Prices, stocks, and rotates frozen and prepared meats and fresh meat case.
• Provides special guest service requests (eg. special cuts, slicing).
• Maintains sanitation standards in the cooler, sales and prep areas.
• Maintains high quality, freshness and properly dated product for sale.
• Communicate temperature failures to supervisor.
• Announce meat department sale items on the PA system.
• Assist in product receiving and storage.
• All other tasks as assigned by management.
