Job summary

Brookshire Grocery Company is hiring for a meat department role in a busy retail setting. You will process meat products, assist customers with special cuts, and ensure cases are full and fresh. The job requires attention to safety, cleanliness, and accurate labeling of products.

Candidates should be comfortable with knives and equipment, maintain quality control, and work flexible shifts including nights and weekends. Food Handler certification is required to perform duties.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 years of age; 21+ to drive per BGC policy.
• High school diploma or GED with 1+ years of related experience, or equivalent.
• Food Handler certification required.

Responsibilities

• Process meat by removing fat, tenderizing, grinding, and cutting to proper size.
• Cut, weigh, package, and label products.
• Prepare machinery and maintain equipment; check function and safety.
• Check product quality and ensure food safety standards are met.
• Provide friendly customer service; fulfill special meat requests.
• Maintain clean, safe, and sanitary work environment.
