Job summary

Saver Group in Berea, KY is seeking a Meat Cutter to operate the meat department per company standards, drive sales, and maximize profitability while delivering friendly customer service.

The role requires trimming and preparing standard cuts, maintaining the cold chain, and upholding sanitation and quality. Lift 50 lbs, work with knives and equipment; 18+ and prior meat experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Experience safely using manual pallet jacks, hand tools and power equipment, including but not limited to knives, wrappers, scales, slicers, cubing machine, and power saw preferred.
• Ability to regularly lift 50lbs

Responsibilities

• Uses knives and power equipment, cuts and/or packages authorized beef, pork and poultry items according to the policies and procedures
• Prepares and places meat cuts and products in the display counter according to the procedures so they will appear attractive and appealing to the customers
• Receives, inspects, and stores meat upon delivery, to maintain cold chain and ensures meat quality.
• Ensures excellent sanitation and quality standards are met daily which adhere to Save A lot policy
