Job summary

Brookshire Grocery Company seeks a Meat Processor to prepare meat products, fulfill special customer requests, and keep cases full with fresh, high-quality cuts. You will rotate and package products, assist customers, and maintain a clean, safe work environment in a retail meat department.

Candidates must be able to lift heavy boxes, stand for long periods, and work flexible schedules including nights and weekends. Previous meat processing experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 1+ year related experience, or an equivalent education.
• Food Handler certification required.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Process meat by removing fat, tenderizing, grinding, and cutting to proper thickness and size.
• Cut, weigh, package, and label product using hand tools.
• Operate machinery and regulate speed to ensure proper function.
• Inspect product for quality and ensure food safety standards are met.
• Provide friendly customer service and fulfill special cuts of meat.
