Responsibilities

1. Ensure all products are properly prepared (cutting and trimming), handled, wrapped, and merchandised.
2. Receive and inspect meat deliveries for quality, correct quantities, and weights.
3. Assist in planning promotions and displays.
4. Manage signage, correct weights (tare and packaging), and pricing.
5. Rotate merchandise according to code dating policy.
6. Maintain full cases and keep the meat department area clean and sanitized.
7. Handle store property and equipment properly.
8. Perform freshness checks and recondition products.
9. Maintain product knowledge and merchandising skills to meet department goals.
10. Provide courteous customer service.
11. Keep records as needed and order meat products.
12. Operate saws, cubers, slicers, scales, grinders, and labeling machines.
13. Assist customers and team members.
14. Prepare, weigh, package, and price products, and rotate stock to maximize profit.
15. Perform cleaning tasks such as sweeping and mopping.
16. Use telephones and intercoms professionally.
17. Follow all company policies outlined in the employee handbook.
18. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Ability to give and follow instructions.
• Provide verbal and physical assistance to customers.
