Meat Cutter - Part Time - Indianapolis - N NJ

Responsibilities

1. Ensure all products are properly prepared (cutting and trimming), handled, wrapped, and merchandised.
2. Receive and inspect meat deliveries for quality, correct quantities, and weights.
3. Assist in planning promotions and displays.
4. Manage signage, correct weights, and pricing.
5. Rotate merchandise according to code dating policy.
6. Maintain full cases and keep the meat department area clean and safe.
7. Handle store property and equipment responsibly.
8. Perform freshness checks and recondition products.
9. Maintain product knowledge and merchandising skills to meet department goals.
10. Provide courteous customer service.
11. Keep records, order meat products, and operate equipment such as saws, slicers, and scales.
12. Assist customers and staff as needed.
13. Prepare, weigh, package, and price products, and stock merchandise.
14. Perform cleaning duties and adhere to company policies.
15. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Self-starter with basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and handle wheeled vehicles up to 1,000 pounds.
• Able to reach and stock up to 6 feet high.
• Provide verbal and physical assistance to customers.
