Responsibilities

• Ensure all products are properly prepared (cutting and trimming), handled, wrapped, and merchandised.
• Receive and inspect all meat deliveries for condition, correct quantities, and weights.
• Assist in planning special promotions and displays.
• Manage signage, accurate weights (tare and packaging), and pricing.
• Rotate merchandise according to code dating policy.
• Maintain full cases and keep the meat department area clean, sanitized, and hazard-free.
• Handle store property and equipment responsibly to maximize usage.
• Perform freshness checks and recondition products as needed.
• Maintain high product knowledge and merchandising skills to meet department goals.
• Provide courteous and friendly customer service.
• Keep records as requested and order meat products accordingly.
• Operate equipment such as saws, cubers, slicers, scales, grinders, and labeling machines.
• Assist customers and staff as needed.
• Prepare, weigh, package, price, and rotate products to maximize profit.
• Perform cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, and general sanitation.
• Use telephones and intercoms professionally.
• Follow all company policies outlined in the employee handbook.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
