Provides fast, friendly, helpful, and efficient service to all Price Chopper customers. Responsible for cutting all meat in accordance with trim specifications and guidelines. Ensures the quality and freshness of the meat products cut for display in the meat case to promote optimal sales opportunities. Responsible for providing excellent customer service and courtesy on an ongoing basis. Must adhere to all corporate and state sanitation and safety procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Consistently work to provide fast, friendly, helpful, and efficient customer service at all times.
  2. Smile, make eye contact, and thank customers upon fulfilling their requests.
  3. Maintain a neat, clean, and organized workstation according to 5S standards.
  4. Cut and prepare meat using knives, saws, cubers, and grinders.
  5. Ensure proper wrapping, weighing, and labeling of meat merchandise.
  6. Adhere to all corporate meat department procedures and standards (e.g., case layout and trim specifications).
  7. Follow proper sanitation and temperature guidelines (including corporate and state inspection standards).
  8. Receive all meat products delivered to the store (e.g., DSD and warehouse deliveries).
  9. Control shrink through adherence to policies and procedures.
  10. Perform other related duties as assigned by management and comply with all company policies and procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Ability to pass a cutting test.
  • Satisfactory performance reviews.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Basic literacy skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

At least 6-12 months of related experience.
