Job summary

The role supports merchandising plans, product quality, and speed of service while maintaining safety and teamwork across shifts. Responsibilities include processing orders, trimming and packaging meats, operating department equipment, and handling special requests.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Authorization to work in the United States or the ability to obtain the same.
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal, motivational and communication skills.
• Knowledge of basic math.
• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Possess adequate knife handling skills and knife speed.
• Knowledge of cutting, traying, wrapping, and labeling.

Responsibilities

• Service (60%): Prepare and package foods; process customer orders; cut and trim meats to standards; wrap, weigh, and price products; cube, slice, and grind meats; operate department tools; fulfill special orders; perform duties of meat/seafood counter clerk as needed.
• Leadership (20%): Promote trust and teamwork; communicate company and department info; adhere to laws and guidelines.
• Financial (10%): Stock and rotate products; restock items; ensure freshness and inventory accuracy; monitor temperature logs; support waste reduction.
• Compliance/Safety (10%): Maintain food safety and sanitation; follow USDA/COOL/DOA regs; handle recalls; ensure safety training; report accidents and hazards.
