Job summary

The Winn-Dixie Company is seeking a Meat Cutter to assist customers and cut meat to specified sizes and trims. You will help in daily meat and seafood operations, promote excellent service, and follow merchandising plans with attention to shrink, stock levels and sales trends.

Responsibilities include preparing and packaging products, weighing, wrapping, labeling, and fulfilling special customer orders while maintaining food safety guidelines and a clean work area.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check.
• Strong customer service skills and interpersonal abilities.
• Knowledge of basic math and knife handling required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers and cut meat to specifications for variety, size and trim.
• Prepare, package, weigh and price products accurately.
• Operate department equipment and maintain sanitation standards.
• Perform wrapping, cubing, slicing and grinding as directed.
• Support daily meat/seafood counter operations and merchandising.
