Carlie C's IGA is seeking an EXPERIENCED Meat Cutter to fill an immediate opening. Only candidates with prior experience in all cuts of beef, pork, and chicken in a Grocery Store Meat Market environment will be considered. The ideal candidate is proficient in using band saws, slicers, cubers, grinders, and knives to cut all cuts of beef, pork, and chicken. Wrapping skills are also required, along with maintaining all sanitation and safety standards. This is a full-time position with optional company benefits. The candidate will be expected to work 40 hours per week, including weekends and most holidays. A Meat Cutter at Carlie C's IGA understands that providing prompt and friendly customer service is the top priority. Being courteous and cooperative with customers and coworkers is critical for maximizing sales and building long-term business.

Responsibilities

• Cutting, grinding, slicing, trimming, weighing, sealing, packaging, and labeling products.
• Unloading trucks, storing products properly, checking product dates, and rotating stock.
• Sanitizing and cleaning equipment; keeping the meat department floors clean and clutter-free.
• Assisting customers in finding products and providing prompt, cheerful service at the counter.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs without assistance.
• At least 18 years old, friendly, outgoing, neat, and clean in appearance.
• Enjoy working with the public and be very customer-oriented.
• Ability to read shelf tags, labels, and signs.
• Good work record as a Meat Cutter.
