Job description

Provides fast, friendly, helpful, and efficient service to all Price Chopper customers. Responsible for cutting all meat in accordance with trim specifications and guidelines. Ensures the quality and freshness of meat products cut for display in the meat case to promote sales. Provides excellent customer service and adheres to all sanitation and safety procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Consistently deliver fast, friendly, helpful, and efficient customer service, including smiling, making eye contact, and thanking customers.
2. Maintain a neat, clean, and organized workstation according to 5S standards.
3. Cut and prepare meat using knives, saws, cubers, and grinders.
4. Ensure proper wrapping, weighing, and labeling of meat merchandise.
5. Adhere to all corporate meat department procedures and standards, including case layout and trim specifications.
6. Follow proper sanitation and temperature guidelines in compliance with corporate and state inspection standards.
7. Receive all meat products delivered to the store, including DSD and warehouse deliveries.
8. Control shrink through adherence to policies and procedures.
9. Perform other duties as assigned by management and comply with company policies.

Pay Range: $18.00 - $21.50

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to pass a cutting test.
• Satisfactory performance reviews.
• Strong communication skills.
• Basic literacy and computer skills.

Physical Requirements:

• Bending: Frequent, 3-5 hours
• Exposure to Cold Environment: Constant, 5-8 hours
• Grasping/Finger Dexterity: Constant, 5-8 hours
• Lifting: Up to 75 lbs constantly, up to 50 lbs frequently, up to 100 lbs occasionally
• Pivoting, Pushing/Pulling, Walking, Squatting/Kneeling, Twisting: Frequent or constant as specified
