Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Meat Cutter in Santa Fe, NM who delivers high levels of customer service and safe food handling. You will cut, tray, and package beef, chicken, pork and veal, and assist with merchandising in fresh and frozen departments.

The role requires strong communication, the ability to multi-task, and reliability with varied hours, including weekends. A high school diploma and 2 years of meat department experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years of professional meat department experience.
• Preferred 2-3 years grocery retail experience in Meat department processes and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Follows procedures for receiving and stocking products and pricing.
• Maintains safe, clean work environment per safety and sanitation regulations.
• Ensures compliance with weights, measures and labeling laws.
• Greets and takes orders from customers.
• Cuts, trays, and packages meat and seafood items for the day.
• Uses cutting equipment safely and follows glove protocols.
• Participates in pre-inventory preparation and tagging accuracy.
