Job summary

Meijer Inc. in Carmel, IN is hiring a Full-time Meat Cutter to support daily cutting of beef, pork, and grind. You will follow the production schedule to meet advertised fresh meat cuts and assist in writing fresh meat orders.

The role emphasizes safety and sanitation, inventory control, and friendly customer service while using CAO software and operating handjack/hilo equipment. This is a frontline position with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

Familiarity with weights and measure processes specific to meat processing.
Ability to understand and follow specific safety and sanitation procedures.
Experience in product presentation and packaging.
Experience using Computer Assisted Ordering applications.
Current handjack/hilo license.
Experience with inventory control procedures.

Responsibilities

Assist in the daily cutting of fresh beef, pork, and grind.
Follow the production schedule to meet requirements for advertised fresh meat cuts.
Write fresh meat orders and organize/check in deliveries.
Maintain a positive relationship with customers, team members and leadership.
