Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of previous experience cutting meat including using hand tools and power equipment.
• Comprehensive product knowledge and ability to train other meat team members.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent customer service and leadership skills.
• Must be dependable and flexible.
• Must adhere to uniform dress code.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and places meat cuts and products in display counter according to policy to appear attractive to customers.
• Assist Meat Manager to maintain adequate inventory for meat products and supplies.
• Enforce programs compliant with city codes, health regulations, weights and measures; ensure standards.
• Breaks, cuts, boning, and grinds meat as required.
• Ensure freshness and high product quality.
• Use knives and power equipment to cut and package meat per policy.
• Update displays and case signs; merchandise meat to maximize sales.
• Maintain date rotation for dated and undated products in display and storage.
