Shaw’s and Star Market in Wakefield, RI is seeking a Meat Cutter to prepare fresh beef, poultry, and meat products for display. You will trim, portion, wrap, and label items while assisting customers with special cut requests and product recommendations.

This hands-on role requires standing for long periods, operating knives, grinders, and saws safely, and maintaining strict sanitation and cold-chain standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in meat cutting or food preparation.
• Ability to operate power equipment safely and effectively.
• Knowledge of meat cuts and preparation techniques.
• Ability to work in refrigerated environments and maintain sanitation.
• Availability for early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Compliance with food safety, sanitation, and dress standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare beef, poultry, and other meats for display and sale.
