Position: Meat Cutter at Nino Salvaggio, Clinton Twp
Responsibilities:
  • Train and master cutting, trimming, boning, grinding, and preparing meats such as beef, pork, poultry, and fish.
  • Prepare and display meat cuts and products.
  • Prepare special cuts based on customer orders.
  • Wrap, weigh, label, price, and merchandise meat products.
  • Follow procedures for receiving and unloading shipments.
  • Maintain a safe, sanitary work environment in compliance with safety, sanitation, and regulatory standards.
  • Adhere to legal requirements for weights, measures, and labeling.
  • Operate equipment safely and according to company policies.
  • Assist customers with orders and inquiries.
  • Handle damaged or spoiled products appropriately.
  • Understand product quality standards, pricing, and preparation methods.
  • Report safety or equipment issues immediately.
  • Assist in training team members when needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
  • Reliable transportation essential.
  • Availability for early mornings, nights, and weekends.
  • Ability to work in environments of 45° to 50°C.
  • Must be 18+ to operate equipment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Positive attitude and good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
  • Regularly lift and move up to 35 pounds.
  • Ability to work in cold, wet, humid, or hot conditions.
