Carlie C's IGA is seeking an EXPERIENCED Meat Cutter to fill an immediate opening. Only candidates WITH PRIOR EXPERIENCE in all cuts of beef, pork, and chicken in a Grocery Store Meat Market environment will be considered. The ideal candidate is proficient in using band saws, slicers, cubers, grinders, and knives to cut all cuts of beef, pork, and chicken. Wrapping skills also required, as well as maintaining all sanitation and safety requirements. This is a full-time position with optional company benefits. Candidate will be required to work 40 hrs. per week that will include weekend work and most holidays. A Meat Cutter at Carlie C's IGA understands that providing prompt and friendly customer service is priority #1. Being courteous and cooperative with both customers and coworkers is essential for maximizing sales and building long-term business.

Responsibilities

1. Cutting, grinding, slicing, trimming, weighing, sealing, packaging, and labeling product.
2. Unload trucks, store in proper places, check product dates, and rotate stock properly.
3. Sanitize and clean equipment and keep meat department floors clean of clutter.
4. Assist customers in finding products and provide timely, cheerful service at the counter.

Qualifications

1. Must be able to lift 80 lbs without assistance.
2. Must be at least 18 years old, friendly, outgoing, neat, and clean in appearance.
3. Must enjoy working with the public and be very customer-oriented.
4. Ability to read shelf tags, labels, and signs.
5. Good work record as a Meat Cutter.
