Job summary

Sam's Club Visalia is seeking a Meat Cutter and Wrapper to join the founding team. You will cut, grind, wrap, and trim fresh meat, ensuring quality and accurate labeling while maintaining safety and inventory in a fast-paced club environment.

You will work closely with a supportive team to deliver exceptional member service, build displays, and help shape the member experience from day one, with opportunities for growth and a rewarding career at Walmart's Sam's Club.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
• Flexible scheduling, including weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

• Cut, grind, wrap, trim, and package meat products (including boneless cuts) according to established standards
• Demonstrate knowledge of floor and backroom operations, product safety, sanitation, and inventory management
• Maintain quality and date control standards; ensure meat products are properly packaged, labeled, and stored
• Secure fragile and high-shrink merchandise; eliminate waste and reduce shrink through proper handling
• Use hand-held technology to make in-the-moment decisions about production and product quality
• Operate, maintain, and sanitize meat-cutting equipment safely and effectively
• Assist members with product selection and purchasing decisions; provide friendly, knowledgeable service
• Collaborate with associates to keep the meat department running smoothly and be flexible to support other areas as needed

The hourly wage range for this position is $19.00 to $27.00*

*The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.

Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
