Job summary

Sam's Club in Lathrop, CA is seeking a Meat Cutter and Wrapper to join the founding team at our new club. You will cut, grind, wrap, trim, and package meat, maintain freshness and inventory, and provide friendly service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Cut, grind, wrap, trim, and package meat products (including boneless cuts) according to established standards.
• Demonstrate knowledge of floor and backroom operations, product safety, sanitation, and inventory management
• Maintain quality and date control standards; ensure meat products are properly packaged, labeled, and stored
• Secure fragile and high-shrink merchandise; eliminate waste and reduce shrink through proper handling
• Use hand-held technology to make in-the-moment decisions about production and product quality
• Operate, maintain, and sanitize meat-cutting equipment safely and effectively
• Assist members with product selection and purchasing decisions; provide friendly, knowledgeable service
• Collaborate with associates to keep the meat department running smoothly and be flexible to support other areas as needed

The hourly wage range for this position is $19.00 to $27.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
