What you will do
- Be a Team Member: Collaborates with other associates to build a strong meat team; communicates with team members; and being flexible to the needs of the business to work in other areas.
- Be an Expert: Demonstrates knowledge of floor and backroom operations, product safety standards, sanitation, inventory management, and the operation, maintenance, and sanitization of equipment; preparing (cutting, grinding, wrapping, trimming) meat products according to established standards; cutting boneless meat products; and maintaining product quality standards.
- Be a Techie: Uses digital tools to drive sales and enhance the shopping experience; uses handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, training, and product quality with the member in mind; adapts to new tools and encourages others to use them.
- Be an Owner: Maintains operational excellence, keeps work area clean and organized; ensures quality and date control standards for meat products; secures fragile and high-shrink merchandise; eliminates waste; assists members with purchasing decisions; ensures merchandise is properly packaged, labeled, and stored per policies.
- Be a Talent Ambassador: Advocates for the department and club by valuing the member’s experience in the meat area and modeling high quality service and products; demonstrates energy, commitment, and passion for the work.
- Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics by applying related action plans and Open Door Policy.
- Completes work assignments by using policies, data, and resources; collaborates with managers, co-workers, customers, and other partners; communicates progress and information; identifies priorities and deadlines; and adapts to change, difficulties, and feedback.

Compensation details
- The hourly wage range for this position is $16.00 to $23.00
- The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.
- Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances.
