What you’ll do

Be a Team Member: Collaborates with other associates to build a strong meat team; communicates with team members; and is flexible to work in other areas as needed.
Be an Expert: Demonstrates knowledge of business on the floor, backroom operations, product safety standards, sanitation guidelines, inventory management, and the operation, maintenance, and sanitization of equipment; prepares meat products according to standards; maintains product quality standards.
Be a Techie: Uses digital tools to drive sales and improve the shopping experience; utilizes handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, training, and product quality with the member in mind; adapts to new tools and encourages others to use them.
Be an Owner: Maintains operational excellence and work area according to policies; ensures quality and date control standards for meat products; secures fragile and high-shrink merchandise; eliminates waste; assists members with purchasing decisions; ensures merchandise is properly packaged, labeled, and stored per policies.
Be a Talent Ambassador: Advocates for the department and club by valuing the member’s experience in the meat area and modeling high-quality service and products; executes basics at highest possible level; shows energy, commitment, and passion for the work.
Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity; uses the Open Door Policy and applies these in business processes.
Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborates with managers, co-workers, customers, and other partners; identifies priorities and deadlines; communicates progress; addresses improvement opportunities; adapts to change and feedback.

The hourly wage range for this position is $16.00 to $23.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in specific circumstances.
