Job Description: Meat Cutter at Nino Salvaggio

Nino Salvaggio is currently seeking a Meat Cutter for our Clinton Twp location.

Responsibilities:

• Train and master cutting, trimming, boning, grinding, and preparing meats such as beef, pork, poultry, and fish.
• Prepare and display meat cuts and products.
• Prepare special cuts of meat as ordered by customers.
• Wrap, weigh, label, price, and merchandise meat products.
• Receive and unload incoming shipments following established procedures.
• Maintain a safe, sanitary, and clean work environment complying with safety and sanitation standards set by the Company and regulatory agencies.
• Follow laws related to weights, measures, and labeling.
• Operate equipment safely and according to company policies.
• Assist customers with orders and inquiries, providing excellent customer service.
• Handle damaged or spoiled products per guidelines and help control inventory quality.
• Understand and communicate product standards, prices, varieties, and preparation methods.
• Report safety or equipment issues immediately.
• Assist in training team members as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
• Reliable transportation is necessary.
• Availability to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
• Ability to work in a 45° to 50º environment.
• Must be 18 or older to operate equipment such as meat cutters, slicers, and knives.
• Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, goal-focused, and able to follow through.
• Positive attitude with good people skills, proactive, and innovative.
• Ability to stand or walk for 8+ hours.
• Ability to lift and move up to 35 pounds regularly.
• Comfort working in cold, wet, humid, or hot conditions.
