Job summary

Kroger Family of Companies in Allen, TX seeks a Meat department team member to perform general clean-up and stock work while delivering excellent customer service. You will greet customers, help with product displays, monitor temperatures, and enforce safety and quality standards.

The role requires strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, including weekends and holidays. Training in company policies and health procedures is provided.

Qualifications

• Able to read shelf tags, signs, product labels, training materials, and bulletins.
• Ability to multitask, set priorities, present information professionally and work with all levels of the organization.
• Personal initiative and follow through to completion.
• Ability to work as part of a team in a fastpaced environment.
• Must be able to work with various cleaning solutions, safely use sharp tools, and carefully operate all production equipment.

Responsibilities

• Wait on customers promptly and cheerfully; greet customers and provide good quality food.
• Be prompt, tactful, calm, courteous, and professional in all interactions.
• Must be able to communicate with customers and associates.
• Make clean, neat, and friendly impression on customers.
• Unload and store merchandise; prepare and display foods per company standards and recipes.
• Perform required temperature monitoring.
• Monitor product quality; ensure freshness and safety at all times.
• Keep sales areas, backrooms, and coolers clean and organized.
• Keep floors clean, safe, and free from clutter.
• Wash and sanitize cookware and utensils per policies.
• Maintain signage, rotation, freshness, quantity, and space allocation for merchandise.
• Maintain equipment and facilities per policies and procedures.
• Adhere to company policies and state/federal laws.
• Operate cash register per procedures.
• Ability to work in high paced and sometimes stressful environment.
• Ability to manage conflict in a constructive manner.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve issues.
• Provide support through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and/or older adults.
