Meat clerks are responsible for keeping the pre-packaged meat section well stocked and orderly in appearance. They will order and unload product, stock shelves, and build displays; as required, as well as wrap, weigh, price, and merchandise meat department products. Meat clerks will maintain a clean work area, follow all safety rules, and perform other tasks as assigned. Other tasks may be in a meat prep area. They must be familiar with store products and their locations to assist customers and adhere to strict standards of sanitation, food safety, and personal hygiene.
