Gelson's Meat Clerk position in Los Angeles supports daily meat department operations, including pricing, stocking, and product rotation to ensure a seamless shopping experience. You will provide excellent customer service, maintain displays, and uphold safety standards while working with a collaborative team.

The role requires flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, in a dynamic grocery environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in grocery retail preferred.
• Able to lift and move heavy items and stand for extended periods.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsabilités

• Provide excellent customer service by assisting shoppers with product inquiries, locating items, and resolving concerns.
• Maintain the meat cases' appearance and cleanliness; implement effective merchandising with the team.
• Ensure refrigerated coolers, shelves and displays are stocked at all times.
• Wrap, weigh and price meat and related products.
• Handle damaged and spoiled products according to company policy and assist in controlling waste.
• Assist in receiving and unloading merchandise.
• Monitor product quality, freshness, and presentation; remove expired items.
• Follow safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean, safe workplace.
• Be flexible to take on additional duties as needed.
