Job summary

Kroger Mansfield Meat Department is hiring a frontline team member to perform general clean-up, stock work, and provide friendly customer service. You will support the department by maintaining product displays, following recipes and company policies, and ensuring food safety standards.

The role requires strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to work weekends and holidays in a fast-paced retail environment. Training, uniforms, and employee discounts are offered.

Qualifications

• Willing to work weekends and holidays.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills with customers and associates.
• Able to read shelf tags, signs, product labels, training materials, and bulletins.
• Ability to multi-task, set priorities, present information professionally and work with all levels of the organization.
• Team player in a fast-paced environment.
• Safely use cleaning solutions and operate basic production equipment.

Responsibilities

• Wait on customers promptly and cheerfully. Greet customers and provide quality food.
• Be prompt, tactful, calm, courteous, and professional in all interactions.
• Communicate with customers and associates effectively.
• Maintain clean, neat, and friendly impression on customers.
• Unload and store merchandise, prepare and display foods per company standards and recipes.
• Perform temperature monitoring and ensure product quality is fresh and safe.
• Keep sales areas, backrooms, and coolers clean and organized.
• Maintain floors clean, safe, and free from clutter.
• Wash and sanitize cookware and utensils per policies.
• Maintain signage, product rotation, freshness, quantity, and space for merchandise.
• Ensure equipment and facilities are maintained and safe per policies.
• Adhere to company policies and laws; operate cash register as applicable.
• Work cooperatively in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
• Manage conflict in a professional, non-confrontational manner.
• Maintain honesty and integrity with customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek help to resolve issues.
• Provide support and assistance with minors, individuals with special needs, and/or older adults.
