Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Food Clerk to deliver excellent customer service with product knowledge and a friendly attitude. You will help keep the store running smoothly and positively impact the community we serve.

This role covers departments including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, and Grocery, with emphasis on accurate merchandising and customer interactions. You will engage customers, stock displays, and utilize store technology while following safety and sanitation procedures to ensure quality

Qualifications

Detail‑oriented and organized.
Strong listening and communications skills, face-to-face and virtually.
Willingness to learn or existing familiarity with job-specific technology.
Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, and twist while handling product.

Responsibilities

Build rapport with customers.
Display a friendly and outgoing attitude through good eye contact and body language.
Respond to customer questions in an effective manner.
Stock product and maintain product displays according to merchandising standards.
