Job summary

Fiesta Mart in Dallas, TX is hiring a Meat Clerk at Store 058 Dallas Fort Worth-Spring Valley. Under direct supervision, you will assist customers, stock and rotate meat displays, and coordinate with the Meat Cutter to prepare items.

You should be able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and provide friendly, efficient service in a fast-paced grocery setting. Food Handler Card required; bilingual abilities valued.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, courteous customer service in the Meat department.
• Stock, clean, rotate and display meat products and wrap displays.
• Work with the Meat Cutter to determine items to be cut and prepared.
• Assist customers with special orders and product inquiries.

• Write simple correspondence.

• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

The Opportunity

Under direct supervision, the Meat Clerk provides friendly, courteous and helpful customer service. Assists the customers, clean shelves, and display cases. Cleans, fills, and rotates the Meat Wrap displays. Works with customers to take special orders as well as with the Meat Cutter to determine which items need to be cut. Must be able to lift 50 lbs., Bend, stand and stoop for prolonged periods. The working environment is typical for a fast‑paced grocery store, and essential functions of this job include physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking and kneeling as well as visual and auditory requirements.
