Fiesta Mart in Irving, TX is hiring a Meat Clerk for Store 053 Irving-East Irving. You will assist customers, stock displays, and coordinate with the Meat Cutter to prepare cuts.

The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, bilingual skills (Spanish/English), basic PC/Outlook use, and a willingness to work in a fast-paced grocery environment. Training provided and opportunities for certification.

Qualifications

• Read and write in Spanish and English; interact with customers and coworkers.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, price codes, and labels.
• Write simple correspondence; communicate clearly in one-on-one or small groups.

Responsabilités

• Provide friendly customer service in the meat department.
• Clean, stock, and rotate meat displays and shelves.
• Assist with special orders and coordinate with the Meat Cutter on item prep.
• Lift and move up to 50 lbs; stand, bend, and be on your feet for extended periods.

Candidates should possess the ability to:

• Read and write Spanish/English, interact with general public and co-workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

The Opportunity

Under direct supervision, the Meat Clerk provides friendly, courteous and helpful customer service. Assists the customers, clean shelves, and display cases. Cleans, fills, and rotates the Meat Wrap displays. Works with customers to take special orders as well as with the Meat Cutter to determine which items need to be cut. Must be able to lift 50 lbs., Bend, stand and stoop for prolonged periods.

The working environment is typical for a fast-paced grocery store, and essential functions of this job include physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking and kneeling as well as visual and auditory requirements. Food Handler Card or its equivalent certification is required for all positions related to: preparation, handling and serving food.
