Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Learn procedures and products offered in the Meat Department.
2. Understand all codes used in the Meat Department.
3. Learn general cooking procedures and usage for all meat products.
4. Learn the production of prepared food items such as marinades and stuffers.
5. Satisfy customer requests by obtaining items from behind the Meat Department counters.
6. Label and package customer purchases to prevent spills and ensure satisfaction.
7. Accurately weigh merchandise, using correct tare codes to determine price.
8. Set up displays and stock shelves, coolers, counters, bins, tables, freezers, containers, or trays with new merchandise.

Physical Demands

Stand, walk, and use hands regularly. Reach with hands and arms occasionally. Climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed. Frequently lift/move up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds. Vision abilities include close and color vision.
